During his time at Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, Jordan was the starting quarterback and helped his team achieve a record of 8 wins, three losses, and one tie in his final year. Besides football, he played basketball and was part of the track team.

After finishing high school, Jordan Rodgers went to Butte College, where he played as a quarterback. While he started as a backup, the team managed to win the junior college national championship with a perfect season of 12 wins and no losses in 2008.
